Teaching
My teaching is shaped by the belief that literature and drama are not only art forms but also vital ways of thinking, questioning, and engaging with the world. At FLAME University, Pune, I teach literature and drama while designing courses that bring together creative writing, literary and dramatic practices, theatre history, and cultural theory.
In the classroom, I invite students to connect reflective inquiry with creative exploration, approaching literature and drama as living encounters where imagination meets politics, history, and space. My courses often combine practice-based learning with critical discussion and draw on artistic and intellectual traditions from India and beyond.
Collaboration and interdisciplinarity form the core of my pedagogy. Through programs such as the Global Crossroads initiative of the GLCA and workshops with universities in Europe and the United States, I continue to explore teaching methods rooted in dialogue, co-creation, and shared research.
I also mentor students in cultural practices, performance-making, and dramaturgy, helping them cultivate their own creative and intellectual voices. For me, teaching is an extension of artistic practice. It is a space where creative and critical modes of thinking come together to deepen the ways we see, imagine, reflect, and connect.
